As part of our "student safe arrival program," Gray's Woods Elementary has an answering machine in the main office for you to use when your child is going to be absent or late arriving at school. You may leave your message on the answering machine in the evening or before 8:30 a.m. on the day of the absence. The attendance secretary will monitor the messages received from parents of absent students each morning after the student attendance is taken. If your child is marked absent but you have not called in to notify the school office that your child will be out, you will be contacted at home or your place of work to make certain you are aware that he/she did not arrive at school.
